Road Shows are your opportunity to meet with organizations across the country. The two day trip focuses on fine art, museum, and cultural institution careers in New York and is open to all Washington University students. During the trip, you will have the opportunity to meet WashU alumni working and living in the city, as well as tour and meet with select organizations.

- New York Foundation for the Arts
- PAGE (NYC)
- Trestle Gallery
- Whitney Museum of American Art
There is a mandatory prep session on TBD. If you can’t attend the prep session, you will need to follow with the track leaders to schedule a make-up session. You will receive additional information after the final application deadline including the location of the prep session and the names of the track leaders.
Expenses and Stipends
Estimated Student Travel Expenses
Flights: $400 round-trip St. Louis to New York (JFK)
Train: $120 round-trip D.C. to New York
Hotel: $200 per night double occupancy
Note: These are estimates and prices may vary. We recommend staying with friends or family or sharing a hotel room with another Road Show student to defray the costs.
Road Show Stipends
Stipends are available to students to help offset the costs. To qualify, you must be a current, full-time student who receives financial aid. Stipends are a reimbursement based award that require transportation and/or accommodation receipts.
In accordance with Washington University policy, you will need to provide the following to be reimbursed:
- Completed Stipend Reimbursement Form (this will be provided to you)
- Receipt for airfare, along with boarding passes from each leg of trip
- Final receipt from hotel (usually provided upon check-out)
- Receipts from taxi rides
- Receipts from subway or train rides (actual subway/train ticket can be used if receipt is not available)
Stipend applications are an optional part of the Road Show application on the Google form.
Notification of acceptance or wait list status will begin in September and will continue weekly on a rolling basis.
